Last year we had RMS come out to replace our hot water heater and furnace. Scott was patient with us as we were unsure just exactly what we wanted (conventional or tankless heater, "H E" or standard furnace, etc.) He explained the pros and cons of each option and was considerate of our budget. While this project was going on we had another project in the house going on simultaneously. Scott met with our other contractor and the two of them were able to work out a schedule that worked for EVERYONE. We appreciated that. They arrived on time everyday, and at the end of his day he left our home in as close to perfect condition as possible, something else we really appreciated. He even painted the utility closet (something not in the contract, he just did it and it looked great!) and hid an exposed drain pipe. We are very happy with our furnace and hot water heater and would recommend RMS to any of our friends or family.

In March 2012, Bob & Scott helped us to choose an appropriate refrigerated air conditioner and furnace to replace our swamp cooler and our 20 year old furnace. Their pricing was competitive and they offered us options on the type of equipment we would have installed. The work was completed in a timely manner and the installation has an exceptional, high quality, finished look.
We would recommend RMS for your HVAC needs.

The Shepherds were recommended to us by our realtor and an electrician we hired to do some electrical work for us on a 72 year old house we purchased in June 2011 in downtown Albuquerque. After a brief email exchange with Scott concerning scope of work, he came to the house, had a look around and then offered a quote. The quote was very reasonable, we engaged the Shepherds to do our HVAC work and work commenced at the end of June 2011.
The work we contracted for was the removal of an old furnace from our small basement and the removal of the rusted hulk "swamp cooler" on our roof. The removed furnace was to be replaced with a new energy efficient Rheem furnace and the swamp cooler was replaced with a new energy efficient Rheem air conditioning unit.
Since we already had ducting throughout the house, no work on the ducting was necessary.
All work was accomplished over a four day period. Scott and his assistant worked very diligently through some of the hottest days of summer to install the new equipment. All work each day was performed efficiently and seemingly expertly. At the end of each day they cleaned up the job site and secured all tools inside the house or on their truck.
At the end of the job when the two new units (furnace and ac) were tested they worked flawlessly and effectively. With the final inspection of the job by Scott (checking for leaks and carbon monoxide) completed the crew departed and we were left with a most blessed event in the desert: air conditioning (and the furnace worked perfectly over the winter)!
I would give the Shepherds a rating of 15 on a 1-10 scale.
